El Programa Hispano Católico Announces New Executive Director
PORTLAND, OREGON, December 12, 2018-The board of El Programa Hispano Católico (EPHC) is excited to announce the appointment of Edith Molina as our Executive Director. In the last few months that Edith has been with EPHC serving as our Interim Executive Director she has demonstrated strong leadership, stewardship and commitment to our staff and community. Edith brings over fourteen years of extensive knowledge of nonprofits, public and private organizations.
At the State level Edith served as the Migrant Health Coordinator providing technical support and assistance in the development of new and existing Federally Qualified Health Centers. She also served as the Coordinator of Emergency Preparedness for vulnerable communities and managed the Regional Health Equity Coalitions at the office of Health Equity and Inclusion with the Oregon Health Authority. At the private level, through her consulting practice she served as an associate consultant with the Non-profit Association of Oregon (NAO) serving on the Executive Transition Services team, faculty for the Leading for Equity and Inclusion Cohort for nonprofit executive directors and is a member of Latina Associates for Collaborative Endeavors (LACE).
Edith is also the Founder of ThinkMujer LLC, a Women Business Enterprise (WBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certified firm based in Portland, Oregon. ThinkMujer supports the professional development of Latina women and offers the annual Empowerment and Leadership Summit (ThinkMujer Summit).
Edith is bilingual in English and Spanish and is actively involved in the community. In 2004 she founded the Tonalli Radio Talk Show on Portland’s Community Radio Station- KBOO 90.7 FM. and has served on numerous non-profit boards including the Oregon Latino Health Coalition, the Portland Women’s Union Foundation and Familias en Acción. Edith was born in Mexico City and grew up in The Dalles, Oregon where her parents worked in the fields as seasonal farm workers. Edith is the proud mom of three daughters, a 10 year-old and 8 year-old twins.
