Our approach in serving the community is based on the principle that all human beings have the right to live in a safe and healthy environment: free of threats and physical, emotional, spiritual, economic or sexual violence.
We believe that violence is a result of attitudes of power and control. We maintain that violence results when people unjustly exercise power over others. We recognize that oppression is complex and can incorporate a wide number of identities and life circumstances. Therefore, all oppressive behaviors must be simultaneously addressed.
Our mission is to provide support, advocacy and opportunity for self-empowerment, assisting survivors to exercise free and informed life choices free of violence and oppression. We work to ensure that Latino individuals and families have equal access to community resources.
