DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED\nWe’re grateful to receive overwhelming support and interest in our Dia de Muertos event this year! At this time\, our registration and wait-list have closed\, and we are not able to accommodate any additional guests. Due to capacity restrictions at our venue\, event access will only be available to those who pre-registered and present tickets. Please refer to our events calendar for future event opportunities with El Programa. \n¡La lucha sigue! \n*** \nEvery year\, El Programa hosts a Día de Muertos celebration to honor the life and legacy of those who have moved on to the next phase of existence. \nThis year our event will include: \n\nPerformances by Ollin Yolliztli\, a local Danza Azteca group\, and Highland Ballet Folklorico\, an elementary school-based dance group.\nPanchito Aguirre y su Mariachi Chapala\nExhibition of community altars\nCatrina Pasarela\, a fashion show featuring traditional Día de Muertos costumes\nLive muralist\, Mario de Leon\, capturing the essence of Día de Muertos\nKid’s interactive activities\nTraditional food and drinks & more!\n\nThis is a perfect event to bring the whole family to learn\, celebrate\, and commemorate together! \nEvent Schedule\n1:00pm  Doors Open\n2:00pm  Opening remarks\n2:30pm  Ballet Folklorico by Highland Elementary\n3:00pm  Danza Azteca by Ollin Yolliztli\n4:00pm  Catrina Runway\n5:00pm  Panchito Aguirre y su Mariachi Chapala \nThroughout the event there will also be: \n– Free traditional food and drinks\n– Live muralist\, Mario de Leon\n– Kid’s interactive activities to take home \nPublic Transportation\nMaya Events Center is easily accessible by public transportation: \n Bus # 21: get off at the NW Eastman & Burnside stop (Stop ID 10821) \nMax Blue Line: get off at Gresham City Hall MAX Station and walk about 0.6 miles north on NW Eastman Pkwy or board on bus #21 going North. \nPlan Your Trip \n  \n  \nThanks to our Sponsors\n \n                             \n
