SUMMARY:2025 VOCES Conference
DESCRIPTION:Our 2025 VOCES de la Comunidad Conference aims to raise awareness on the impacts of domestic violence\, sexual assault\, and sex trafficking within Latine communities by centering the voices of survivors and advocates as they share their experiences navigating system in search of support\, resources\, justice\, and healing. \nWe will also be joined by Latinx Parenting founder Leslie Priscilla\, who will facilitate “Ending Chancla Culture: Decolonizing our Families and Raising Future Ancestors”. \n\nEvent Schedule\n8:30am: Registration Check-in/Cafe con Pan \n9:30am: Opening Ceremony – Blessing by Ollin Yolliztli Pdx \n9:45am: Welcome – EPHC Interim Exec. Dir. Brigitte Rodriguez \n10:00am: Keynote Speaker – UNICA Director Perla Estrada \n10:40am: Survivor Panel – Moderator: Viridiana Gutierrez Sotelo \n12:00pm: Lunch* and Awards Ceremony \n1:00pm: Latinx Parenting: Ending Chancla Culture – Training by Latinx Parenting Leslie Pricilla \n3:10pm: Advocate Panel – Moderator: Viridiana Gutierrez Sotelo \n4:30pm: Closing Ceremony – Huehca Omeyocan Aztec Dance & Music \n5pm – 6pm: Networking Event \n*Meals and refreshments will be provided from an array of our local Latine vendors. \n  \nVolunteers\nWe’re looking for Volunteers!
