Join our Older Adult Wellness team and help uplift the lives of Latine elders in our community. You’ll assist with meals, activities, and social connection in a warm, culturally affirming environment that centers dignity and care.

When: Tuesdays–Thursdays, 10:00am–2:00pm (choose one day or more days/week)
Skills: Friendly and patient demeanor, Spanish/English bilingual preferred, basic computer and communication skills
Commitment: 4 hours/week for at least 1 year
Where: In person at EPHC Offices in Gresham, OR

As a volunteer for this program you’ll work with the Multnomah Mobile Health Van team to help bring vital, accessible healthcare directly to our community. You’ll support clinic operations and patient intake, ensuring a welcoming and organized experience for individuals and families accessing medical, dental, and resource services.

When: 2nd or 4th Tuesday of each month, 3:00pm–7:00pm
Skills: Organized, welcoming, comfortable with basic forms and computer tasks; Spanish/English bilingual preferred
Commitment: 4–8 hours/month for at least 1 year
Where: In person at EPHC Offices in Gresham, OR

Join our Food Justice team and help promote equitable access to healthy, culturally relevant food in our community. Through our food pantries, markets, and workshops, you’ll support nutrition education, food security, and a deeper connection to land and culture.

When: 4 hours/week (flexible weekdays)
Skills: Team player, ability to lift boxes, comfort interacting with the public; Spanish/English bilingual preferred
Commitment: 4 hours/month for at least 1 year
Where: In person at El Programa Hispano’s pantry school-based sites

Our SUN program leads enrichment activities & classes such as soccer, cooking, arts & crafts after school. This program is in 7 different School throughout East County

Essential Duties:

• Develop & maintain effective and supportive relationships with children/youth.
• Assist staff in serving snacks, cleaning, meal counts.
• Assist staff in the set-up and clean-up of after-school programming.
• Utilize technology for workplace functions, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Events vary at each school and district but include back to school nights, multicultural night, and seasonal/holiday events.

Essential Duties:

• Assist staff in the set up and clean-up of events.
• Welcome and lead guests to the appropriate meeting space.
• Support in assigned station(s) (registration, food, children’s table, etc.)

Join our Crisis Line Volunteer Advocate team and stand with DV/SA survivors. You’ll provide over-the-phone emotional support, safety planning, and resource referrals to individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence through our 24-hour bilingual crisis line.

When: One 4-hour shift per week (flexible days/times)
Shift options:

• 9:00am–1:00pm, Monday–Friday

• 1:00pm–5:00pm, Monday–Friday

Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish, inclusive communication, trauma-informed listening, ability to maintain confidentiality
Commitment: 4 hours/week for at least 1 year
Where: In person at a confidential site

Join our Sexual Assault Hospital Response team and provide compassionate, in-person support to survivors during medical sexual assault exams. You’ll be a vital presence—offering advocacy, safety planning, and emotional care during one of the most vulnerable times.

When: One on-call shift per week (4, 8, or 12 hours; flexible scheduling available 24/7)
Skills: Trauma-informed listening (EPHC provides training), emotional resilience, ability to support survivors while interacting with hospital staff and law enforcement
Commitment: 4 hours/week for at least 1 year
Where: In person at hospitals across Multnomah County (must have personal vehicle and respond within 1 hour of call)

This position would provide in person activity engagement groups for children while their parents attend survivor support groups.

Essential Duties:

• Support children between the ages of 0 – 17 years old.
• Ability to follow activity instructions and use supplies provided by UNICA
• (Encouraged) Early childhood development experience

Our clothing closet is a confidential, trauma-informed space dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence by providing access to clean, high-quality clothing, accessories, and personal care items—all free of charge.

Volunteers play a crucial role in maintaining this closet by assisting with sorting, preparing, and organizing donations, volunteers help ensure that every survivor who visits the boutique is met with compassion, respect, and choice in their healing journey.

Essential duties:

• Assist with processing clothing donations
• Steam all newly arrived donations, tag, and place them in the appropriate section of the closet.
• Help maintain the organization of the closet to avoid clutter.

Assist with creating social media content for Instagram, Facebook, EPHC.

Essential Duties:

• Meet virtually with program managers once per month to discuss social media content and posts.
• Post 1-2 times a month

As a Social Media Content Creator, you’ll craft engaging digital content that celebrates our culture, programs, and impact—expanding awareness and support for immigrant and Latine communities in the Portland metro area.
When: Flexible schedule
Skills: Creative writing, social media fluency, graphic/video editing (Canva, CapCut, etc.), cultural responsiveness
Commitment: 4–10 hours/week for at least 6 months
Where: Remote or hybrid (some in-person events)

As a Community Outreach & Tabling volunteer, you’ll represent El Programa Hispano at local events—sharing our story, resources, building trust, and connecting individuals and families with services that support their well-being.
When: Weekdays or weekends, flexible shifts based on event schedule
Skills: Friendly and outgoing, bilingual Spanish/English preferred, comfortable speaking with the public, knowledgeable or eager to learn about EPHC programs and mission
Commitment: 1–2 events/month for at least 1 year
Where: In person at community events throughout Multnomah and Clackamas Counties

As a Volunteer Photographer and/or Videographer, you can help us tell the story of El Programa Hispano. You’ll capture the energy, culture, and heart of our events and programs—creating visual content that uplifts our mission and celebrates community.
When: Weekdays or weekends, flexible shifts based on events schedule
Skills: Photography/videography experience, comfort engaging with community, ability to follow consent/privacy guidelines, bilingual Spanish/English is a plus!
Commitment: 1–2 events/month or as needed for at least 1 year
Where: In person at event locations across Multnomah County and Clackamas Counties
