As the arrival of spring brings new opportunities for growth and renewal, we wanted to take this opportunity to share our gratitude for your continued support and encourage you to keep up your generosity.
At El Programa Hispano Católico, we believe that the arrival of spring is a symbol of hope and new beginnings. And we believe that our communities, especially those that we serve, need this hope and new beginning now more than ever. With your help, we can ensure that they receive the support and services they need to thrive.
So, as you start to “Spring into Action”, we encourage you to consider a donation to El Programa Hispano Católico. Your support will not only help us continue our mission but also help bring hope and renewal to those in need.
Together, let’s embrace the opportunities for growth and renewal this spring brings.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely, The Team at El Programa Hispano Católico
“That is one good thing about this world… there are always sure to be more springs.” — L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Avonlea
As we welcome the arrival of spring, we also embrace the opportunity to take action and make a difference in our communities. This month, we want to highlight two important topics: Spring into Action and Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We have gathered information and resources to help you get involved and make a positive impact.
Spring into Action: April is a great time to start new projects or get involved in your community.
Plant a garden
Planting a garden or starting a compost pile is a great way to give back to the earth and promote sustainability. By composting food scraps and yard waste, you can reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills while creating a nutrient-rich soil amendment for your garden.
To get started, choose a sunny location for your garden and prepare the soil by
removing any weeds and adding compost or other organic matter. You can also use
the compost to fertilize your garden and reduce the need for chemical fertilizers.
When starting a compost pile, be sure to layer kitchen scraps, yard waste, and other
organic materials to create a balanced mix of nitrogen and carbon. Turn the
pile regularly and keep it moist to ensure proper decomposition.
For more information on how to compost at home, check out the Environmental Protection Agency’s website.
Earth Day is a special day to celebrate and protect the planet. There are many ways to get involved and make a positive impact on the environment. One way is to participate in a local Earth Day event. These events can be a great way to connect with others who share your passion for sustainability and learn more about ways to protect the planet.
Participating in an Earth Day event is just one way to get involved. There are many other ways to
celebrate Earth Day and promote sustainability, such as reducing your energy consumption, recycling, planting a garden, or supporting local businesses that
prioritize sustainability.
So let’s take action and celebrate Earth Day by making a positive impact on the planet!
