What programs & services do we offer?

Education

Prenatal to 3rd grade (P3) program provides support for early education programming to help fill educational gaps in kindergarten readiness through third grade.

Early Kindergarten Transition (EKT) is a school-based summer program promoting early success in school. SUN schools serve three different districts providing support in after school programming, and mentoring. ENLACE is our youth advocacy and mentorship program to help our Latinx community by afterschool groups to support students, build core skills and master academic concepts.

Education Reengagement services support young adults ages 14-21 who have left high school or are at risk of leaving before earning their high school diploma or General Education Development (GED). Family Advocates work alongside families to help reduce barriers and stressors in the home and promote self-sufficiency so that students and families can thrive.

Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Survivor Support

The state’s first bilingual (Spanish/English) & bicultural Domestic & Sexual Violence Survivor Support Program offering a 24/7 support line. UNICA serves ALL survivors of abuse with a full host of services.

  • Crisis intervention and urgent response
  • Case management and housing stabilization
  • Legal and medical accompaniment and advocacy
  • Psychoeducation and peer support groups
  • Mental health services
  • Child and family services
  • Primary prevention programming and school-based youth prevention program PAS (Prevención del Agresión Sexual) that helps teach youth how to establish healthy relationships and learn about consent.

Community Wellness

Aging Services provides culturally responsive and person-centered services like culturally specific meals, activities, and case management. This program also offers referrals to internal and external services and navigation assistance.

Food Justice Services provides universal access to nutritious food, nutrition education, and works to restore culturally specific connections to land and food. We offer bi-weekly food pantries at East Gresham Elementary and Floyd Light Middle Schools, as well as monthly Food Markets at Highland and Wilkes Elementary Schools.

Mobile Health Clinic Services provides accessible healthcare for our community with comprehensive medical care, dental cleanings, vaccines, and other resources.

Economic Sustainability

Family Stability Services supports families with limited income, who have children under 18 to stabilize their housing situation and set goals and actions to improve their earning potential.

Eviction Prevention & Legal Support provides legal assistance to help with housing discrimination, supportive housing advocacy, and education on tenant rights.

Emergency Rental Assistance provides emergency rent assistance to prevent households from experiencing evictions and homelessness.

Housing Navigation, Placement, and Retention Services help participants navigate the housing system by locating and securing permanent housing and assisting them in overcoming any barriers they may be experiencing.

Energy Assistance provides financial assistance for utilities (gas and electricity) to low and no income households in Multnomah County.
