EPHC is endorsing SB606 – Oregon Non-profit Modernization Act
Introducing SB606, the Oregon Nonprofit Modernization Act, a bill aimed at improving contracts and support for nonprofits in the state.
- Part 1 of the bill focusses on contract improvements, including a 10% de mininis indirect rate, the elimination of reimbursements as a payment to be made within 30 days on a monthly basis.
- Part 2 establishes a Non-Profit Task Force, to be overseen by the OR Department of Administrative Services, which will develop recommendations and include a cross-section of nonprofit representatives.
- Part 3 creates a $40 million workforce retention fund, providing grants to nonprofits to help with recruitment and retention strategies such as education and professional development.
The Oregon Legislature is hosting a series of budget public hearings around the state starting this Saturday. We need your help!! Please submit a letter of support to fund SB 606, the Oregon Nonprofit Modernization Act for the hearings.

- To submit written testimony, members of the public will be able to access sign up links on the Ways and Means Committee’s webpage on OLIS, the legislature’s website. Select the date of the correct date of the hearing you are submitting written testimony for.
