VOCES de la Comunidad is a bilingual event. Workshop presentations will be presented in either Spanish or English. Interpretation services will be provided.

Together, we will reflect, connect, and reimagine survivor-centered practices rooted in culture and led by community.

The VOCES Awards celebrate advocates and community leaders who have demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting Latine survivors. The awards will be presented at our VOCES Conference on April 30, 2026.

About Las Cafeteras

Las Cafeteras, born and raised east of the Los Angeles River, blend roots music with Afro-Mexican rhythms, electronic beats, and powerful lyrics that reflect their community’s stories and vision for a more inclusive world. Using traditional instruments like the jarana, requinto, quijada, and tarima, they honor cultural traditions while creating a modern sound. They sing in five languages—English, Spanish, Spanglish, Love, and Justice—believing everyone understands at least one.

Individuals and groups are invited to lend their time and energy in a variety of roles—from event set-up and tear-down to greeting attendees, supporting check-in, serving food, assisting with activities and resource tables, and helping keep the day running smoothly.
