The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2026.   About Las Cafeteras Las Cafeteras, born and raised east of the Los Angeles River, blend roots music with Afro-Mexican rhythms, electronic beats, and powerful lyrics that reflect their community’s stories and vision for a more inclusive world. Using traditional instruments like the jarana, requinto, quijada, and tarima, they honor cultural traditions while creating a modern sound.
