    Join advocates, survivors, artists, and service providers for a powerful gathering centered on healing, culture, and community. This year’s theme uplifts survivor voices and explores how art—through dance, poetry, visual arts, and music—can inspire healing, resistance, and transformation. VOCES de la Comunidad is a bilingual event. Workshop presentations will be presented in either Spanish or English. Interpretation services will be provided. Click here to submit your award nomination The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2026.   About Las Cafeteras Las Cafeteras, born and raised east of the Los Angeles River, blend roots music with Afro-Mexican rhythms, electronic beats, and powerful lyrics that reflect their community’s stories and vision for a more inclusive world. Using traditional instruments like the jarana, requinto, quijada, and tarima, they honor cultural traditions while creating a modern sound.
