VOCES de la Comunidad is a bilingual conference that brings together advocates, artists, survivors, and professionals dedicated to supporting the Latine community impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. This year’s conference will feature keynote speaker Emilly Prado, author of Funeral for Flaca, along with a special musical performance by Las Cafeteras. Together, we will reflect, connect, and reimagine survivor-centered practices rooted in culture and led by community. Now offering 7 CEUs through MHACBO! Submissions closed   About Las Cafeteras Las Cafeteras, born and raised east of the Los Angeles River, blend roots music with Afro-Mexican rhythms, electronic beats, and powerful lyrics that reflect their community’s stories and vision for a more inclusive world. Using traditional instruments like the jarana, requinto, quijada, and tarima, they honor cultural traditions while creating a modern sound.
